Canon Wide Angle Lens
Nice lens. Outdoor shots are fine. Indoor shots leave the four corners darkened, which is to be expected. No problem though, because you can crop out in your photo printing program. Has a macro feature which I haven't used yet, so I can't comment.
Nice wide agle lens!
It is a great lens , "ONLY WHEN YOU DON'T USE THE FLASH" Because when you use the FLASH you get a shadow around the shot, Otherwise, I like it very much and the price is Great!

Opteka .45X HD lens
I ordered this wide angle adapter from 47th street photo through Amazon and the lens only increases the angle of view by about 30% as opposed to the ".45x wide-angle converter virtually DOUBLES your angle of view, allowing you to get twice as much in the picture" description that the 47th street photo gives. What is a little scary is it took 47th street about a month to get back to me after I sent a couple of e-mails. They stated that they "know of no other issues with the lens". I'm waiting for a response from Opteka as well to see if my lens was the only one with this issue.
Further to this review...I have still not heard back from Opteka after many weeks even though I have sent them many e-mails! I did find out one odd thing, Opteka and 47th st photo share the same address!!! I hope that is not why I haven't heard from them yet!
I have now found other people who bought this lens and they say the exact thing I do.....the lens is more like a .7X.... 47th st photo told them to mail it back at the buyers expense! So it looks like the advertising for the lens is totally bogus. It is not a .45X lens.I think that 47th st photo is hoping that they can sell these lenses by false advertising and then the customer will not bother returning it because the store will not pay the shipping ....even though the store should because they did not sell what they advertised!
When you see the words 47th st photo...run the other way!
